Hula Me Ke Aloha is a Sacramento, California - based hula halau. Established in 2001, with the blessings of Kumu Hula Uncle John Keli'iokahekili Manuia, Hula Me Ke Aloha has built a strong foundation on tradition and hula 'ohana. Literally translating to Dance with Love, the halau is doing its best to preserve & perpetuate hula and the Hawaiian Culture.
Our halau is growing rapidly under the watchful eye of Po'o Pala 'O Halau Hula Me Ke Aloha~ Rhoda Leimomi Mabanta and Kokua Kumu~ Sally Pualani Corpuz and Melani Mokihana Kirkland. All three of whom studied under their beloved Kumu, Uncle John of Halau Hula Na Pua Lei 'O Hawai'i. Humbled by the responsibility to preserve the Hawaiian Culture as our Kupunas before us, we are striving to protect, preserve and perpetuate it for those who come after us. Well aware that we must look to the past, to do in the present, what we must for the future. We are an authentic halau who follows the protocol of the halaus in our lineage. A hula lineage, that reaches back to the late 1700's. One we are proud of and dedicated to preserving. Classes are open to those who are interested in hula and the Polynesian Culture. We are a diverse halau open to all ages, ethnicities and gender. We are the perfect blend of people coming from many different backgrounds, who celebrate our diversity by unifying under a culture that has and will continue to be known for its Aloha. We have several classes available and are currently accepting all levels of dancers.
